MALL OF THE NORTH
In September 2009 Omni Struct Nkosi was awarded the structural steel installation contract for the “Mall of the north” in Polokwane. This 80 000 square meter retail development has started with main contractors WBHO already well advanced with the concrete works.
Start date for installation of structural steel will be around mid-November and opening date for shopping center is scheduled for April 2011.

UPGRADE OF ORLANDO RAILWAY STATION
Omnistruct has been awarded the contract for the fabrication, supply and installation of the new roof structure, which forms part of the upgrade of the current railway station, which is situated behind the new Orlando Soccer Stadium.
Also included is a modern clock tower, platform shelters and walkways. All the roof trusses are fabricated with Circular Hollow Sections.
The completion date for this contract is 30 April 2010.

KUSILE DUCTING WORKSHOP
We are erecting a temporary workshop for Eskom to fabricate the ducting for the main power plant. The workshop is divided into 3 sections, the prep bay will have all the various machines to cut and prepare all the material. This bay houses one of the biggest laser cutting machines in South Africa. The prep bay consists of 122 tons of steel. This structure is 15 meters from ground level and a total of 2304m˛.
The Open gantry is the part that feeds the prep bay with all the material. This area consists of 139 tons of steel, the roof is only on a third of this structure and the rest is open, a total of 1304m˛ is covered.
The main workshop is 550 tons of steel and at the highest point 23 meters from the ground. The total roof covering is 8365m˛. This is a temporary workshop to make the ducting for the main plant.
The biggest ducting sections that will be fabricated in this workshop is 12 meters X 12 meters X 12 meters.

ALICE LANE
Glass facade steel on two buildings in Sandton CBD one 13 storey’s and one 16 storey’s consisting of purpose made tapered plate wings and rectangular hollow sections.
Project started July 09 to be completed in March 10.

RING OF FIRE
228 Perimeter entrance canopies at Soccer City One kilometre long, consisting of purpose made plate columns and rafters with an architectural galvanised finish.
Projected started Dec 08 to be completed Nov 09.
